General Chemistry - Quiz Concepts
For the REDOX quiz you should be able to do the following:
- Predict products of simple (Single Replacement and Combination) REDOX reactions
- Balancing simple REDOX reactions
- Identifying which reactants are undergoing oxidation and reduction
- Determining the number of electrons transferred during the reaction
- Construct a cell (on paper) using given materials/chemicals that produces a predetermined voltage
- Identify the anode/cathode and the reaction that is occurring at each electrode for a given galvanic cell
- Show the direction of the flow of electrons in the cell
- Calculate the voltage that will be produced from different combinations of chemicals
